Students may also complete a dual concentration in both Medical and Urban Anthropology by taking required courses for both specializations. Students should design their program in consultation with their faculty advisor and committee. Key requirements are:
1. Completion of the four required core anthropology courses

Techniques of Anthropological Data Analyses (ANTH 7076-8076)

Applied Anthropology and Development (ANTH 7255)
2. Completion of two required courses from the Medical Anthropology track:
Completion of two required courses from Urban Anthropology track:
3. Completion of at least 4 hours in elective and/or collateral courses.
4. Completion of 6 hours in the practicum.
5. Optional ANTH 7995 Professional Paper (3 hours) for students wishing to pursue an intensive writing option involving completion of a professional paper that must meet approval by their degree committee.
